Suresh Raina's Cricket Career

Suresh Raina is a retired Indian cricketer who played as a middle-order batsman and an occasional off-spin bowler. He was born on November 27, 1986, in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh. Raina made his international debut for India in 2005 in an ODI against Sri Lanka. He was known for his aggressive batting style and brilliant fielding skills.

Raina played a crucial role in India's victory in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he scored 73 runs in the quarter-final against Australia. He also played a pivotal role in India's successful campaign in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, where he scored a match-winning 84 not out in the semi-final against England.

Raina retired from international cricket in 2020, having scored over 7,500 runs in ODIs and more than 1,500 runs in T20Is. He is also the first Indian batsman to score a century in all three formats of international cricket. Off the field, Raina is involved in various social initiatives and is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for handwashing and sanitation.
